Digitised Texts and Research Materials

During the entire duration of the project, we are producing transcriptions of those works and versions of works by Ibn Rušd which are not to be edited critically within the project, but which need to be made accessible either because they constitute secondary sources for the texts to be edited or because they are documents of the reception of these texts. Among them are Hebrew-into-Latin translations from the Renaissance period, super-commentaries, paraphrases and compilations based on Ibn Rušd’s works, as well as works by Ibn Rušd transmitted together with those which are in the focus of the edition project; this is the case, for instance, for the group of Short Commentaries (Epitomai). The transcriptions produced so far are listed in the following table. They will by and by be published in the Digital Averroes Research Environment (DARE).
